With regard to the above mentioned article, we would like to clarify the examination process for Realtors® in Ontario. The Ontario Real Estate Association provides the framework for registration through its Real Estate college.  Registrants must complete three courses over a period of 18 months with examination after each course requiring a pass of 75%.  After registering with a Brokerage, each Realtor® then enters a two year articling phase, wherein they complete three additional courses with examinations.  Following that, every two year period in the industry must include update and continuing education courses.

Realtors® in Ontario are receiving a thorough education thanks to changes put into place over the last decade.  We do not believe that there is an abundance of “indifferent” agents – rather that we are all “different”.  Our advice is to find an agent whom you can click with and then rest assured that they have the education behind them.
