Next year MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corp) will use recent sales of comparable homes in your area to reset the market value of your home.  For example, the average gain on a detached home in Burlington is 15%  minus  the average gain in Burlington of 13% = 2%.  This is the amount your taxes will increase because of the new values in your property.  Add to this the percentage increase in the municipal budget.  This number will vary across municipalities and year to year, but whatever it turns out to be, all homeowners will get a tax hike of this amount.
